Please help us help you and fill where relevant:
Your LimeSurvey version: 3.27.34+220132
=================

Hi guys,

I hope you are doing fine.

I have an array dual scale question with 15 subquestions and each scale has two response options.
I want the second scale to be shown only if participants filled in the second option of the first scale (that for each subquestion).
Is that possible?

Thanks for your help.

Another way to solve my problem would be to not allow participants to choose any option of the second scale if they select the first response option of the first scale.

Dear Joffm,

Thanks for your reply.
However, the file attached in the other conversation does not fit the version I have. I tried to find this sort of question (array(text) with dropdowns and additionally disabling the second column) but could not find it.

the file attached in the other conversation does not fit the version I have

What does it mean?

I used this to import into version 3.x. and just adapted the texts.

File Attachment:

File Name: limesurvey... (1).lss
File Size:23 KB

If it doesn't work properly in your installation you should
  • make sure that you are allowed to insert javascript
  • send your survey a lss export.

Sorry, Joffm, but I'm not really understanding what I should do.
I tried to create a new question by importing the file you sent in the last message. But it seems my LimeSurvey does not recognize this sort of file.
My LimeSurvey does allow to insert java script.

Just import the LSS file as a new survey and see if it works. If it works, recreate it in your survey.

If your LImesurvey doesn't allow the use of Javascript it is quite obvious that you won't be able to use Javascript based workarounds...
