Please help us help you and fill where relevant:
Your LimeSurvey version: [see right hand bottom of your LimeSurvey admin screen]
Own server or LimeSurvey hosting: MAX Survey/LimeSurvey
Survey theme/template:Fruity Theme ( fruity)
==================
My issue and follow-on question is related to the "File upload" question.

Issue: I am going through my survey and after uploading a file, the window just responds with the following. It does not return to the survey or present a "Next" button to allow me to continue on. If I refresh the screen, it brings me back to my question and prompts for the upload.....{ "success":true,"size":57.4755859375,"name":"Agile-task-board.jpg","ext":"jpg","filename":"futmp_mrbwsya45mq7sgp_jpg","msg":"The file has been successfully uploaded." }.

Question: How do I add a .docx attachment to a particular question in my survey? I want to add the attachment so participants can download, complete a task, and then upload (supports the "file upload"  question above). I added the file to the "resources" area. To make long story short, the attachment contains the instructions and the paper-based data collection tool/research instrument. I am just using the LimeSurvey to collect/aggregate demographic information.

You did not mention the Limesurvey of your installation.

To add a Word document for download, you just need to create a link to the documento, just with any other file.

LimeSurvey Cloud
Version 5.3.25

Thank you. For those who may have the same question...I clicked 'link \ protocol \ other \ browse server' and selected the file that I previously uploaded under the 'resources' section on the survey menu. Would still love any input on my file upload error.  .

Hi,
I just tested in the LimeSurvey hosted version 5.3.25.

1.1. Offer a docx file to download.
(This file was uploaded to a directory of my server)

1.2. Download the file

2.1. Upload the file again

2.2. The "summary" page

2.3. The file in the answer table

So I do not see an issue.

By the way: What is "MAX Survey"?

Hello,
Still facing this issue on Chrome which represents the majority of users. Since the team understands that it is not a software issue ( bugs.limesurvey.org/view.php?id=19193 ) and users will not be using an incognito window or a clean user, how to work around it?

Version: LimeSurvey Community Edition Version 6.6.1+240806
On premise, fruity and vanilla themes

Can you share a test link? Because the bug you are referencing was considered not a bug, but an issue out of the control of Limesurvey.

It would be great if you could show a test link so that we can reproduce.

Hmm, looks more like a server issue than anything else. First I get a cloudfare check if I am human:

Then I get an server error:

OK, I tried it again and probably the first time the Cloudflare test caused some issues (which is not good for your survey of course). I clicked your link again and could upload an image without any issues on Chrome.

Here the confirmation message. Check if you can see the image upload.

Hello, thank you very much for your test. The response has been correctly recorded.

The image of the URL in your browser with a dark background suggests that you used Chrome in incognito mode. If you used it this way, we know that the error does not actually occur. It also does not occur with the Edge browser. However, users in general do not browse this way to answer our surveys. I believe that we cannot require this of them.

I think it's a server issue. This is what I see using Chrome 127.0.6533.105.
