What happens if you create a new survey? Is it still showing the "no answers"?

If there are no "no answers" in the new survey, try to export and import the survey as a new survey and see if it persists.

Just like Tpartner, grasping straws, because this seems to be something particular on your installation, as we can't really reproduce.

I actually already tried that. I have 2 other limesurvey installations up and running on other servers. (One ancient 2.x and one 3.x)

I created a new survey on 5.x first. Still showing the no answers. Then i created one on each of my other limesurvey setups, on which it worked (as usual). Then imported them to the 5.x installation and the no answers are showing up again.

I guess i need to make a clean reinstall tomorrow. Will come back with updates, hoping for the best.

Sounds like there is something seriously wrong with your installation on LS 5.x.

I am also encountering the same issue (I posted it some time ago here , so it seems some users do encounter it). So it might not be ideosyncratic to dangerdangerhighvoltages installation.
We're currently also running on 5.3.18, and also updated from LS 3.X.

Cheers,
Michael

Ok, so there are two of you now. While we can't reproduce this, if it is with two people, it might be worth to create a bug report. So one creates the bug report and the other adds to it, so it is clear that this happens in more than one occasion, gives the bug report more weight.

Dangerdangerhighvoltage already created a bug report ( bugs.limesurvey.org/view.php?id=18181 ). I added my comment to it.
Let's see.
As always thanks for helping out.

Small update on my end.

We newly installed Limesurvey 5.3.21 on a new partition with a more recent php version (8.0) and after that everything worked exactly how it should(, so far ;P).
