What is the difference between interviewtime and submitdate-startdate?

Hi everyone

I'd like to make calculations with the 'time used to fill in the survey'. I assumed that interviewtime would be equal to the difference 'submitdate - startdate' (in seconds). BUT I get a different result when calculating this difference and comparing it to interviewtime.

The difference between the two durations is not very large, but still....
So, I guess, my question now is: What exactly are these three time variables and how are they connected (if they are at all)? And why do they not match?

I'm using Version 3.15.9+190214 on Windows 10 Education.

A big thank you in advance for any help!

Cheers

Dear tpartner

Thanks for the quick reply.
Unfortunately this does not answer my question. I already conducted the data and am now in the analysis phase.
I would like to know, what 'interviewtime' represents exactly. The same for 'startdate' and 'submitdate'. These are all variables as I find them in the limesurvey results (NOT calculated by myself).

Cheers
