Hey guys,
I'm new to LimeSurvey and want to raise the occupation in my survey. I would like to generate an autofill question which automatically autocomplete the occupation based on the isco08 list (
www.statistik.at/kdb/downloads/pdf/OE-IS..._20170113_032830.pdf
). I hav absolutly no idea how I could achive that.
There are quite a few topics in the forum for workarounds on how to create autocomplete questions. Which posts did you already check? What are the specific questions? What did you not understand?

Sure, I've read that. Let me tell you step by step what I did. I have really no idea if that's correct:
- Opened the template manager
- Create new template
- selected /javascript-data/scripts/template.js
- selected my .csv data
- pressed "upload"
--> resulting in an error "not allowed to upload this file"
well it only says "Once the CSV file is in place,"
I just dont understand it.
It also says that an autocomplete wigdet is included but I cant even find that one.
As a beginner it's hard to find the correct information.
In another post I've read something about a ftp connection but I have no idea how to access the lime survey surver. so many issues
I read that you need to upload it via FTP into the template folder, but I did also just a quick scan of the page. Maybe also read the information for previous versions, because some detail might be omitted because they think you know it already.

ya but I guess the ftp connection doesnt work with the free version. I also want to upload a plugin and in another post a user mentioned that I would need the professional version to get access.

I assume that when you talk about the "free version" you refer to the hosted version then?
Because the free community edition (the one you install on your server) doesn't have that.
I don't know the limitation of the free hosted version, this is a service provided by the Limesurvey GmbH and I have no idea about this.
I didn't expect you would use the free hosted version, because for most cases I don't see how you can use this for much more than testing, with the limitations it has (n=25 responses per month).
