It doesn't help to just "track down" the bug report. Because as you can see, the bug report in your link is from 2018 and it has not been resolved yet, almost 1 year later.
So ideally make at least a comment on the bug report, so it gets noticed that this is still a thing and that it is important. Otherwise you probably won't see any improvement, because this is clearly on hold or forgotten.

Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
