Google Analytics Javascript does not appear

Google Analytics Javascript does not appear was created by edwardhaase
I have configured the UA-Tracking-ID into the [GLOBAL SETTINGS][GENERAL][Google Analytics API key] as in picture 1. (I know, that is not an API key, so maybe there is another place to config the Tracking-ID it, which I havn't found :().

UA-Tracking-ID within the {GOOGLE_ANALYTICS_JAVASCRIPT}-placeholder of 'startpage.pstpl' is not shown and replaced as shown in picture 2.

What did I made wrong?

From your second screenshot I assume that you want to use GA in a survey, not for the LS Administration.

Did you make the respective settings for this survey:

That is the missing glue which solves the problem... I didn't found that in the manual, may you will check the search-box functionality. When you enter [Google Analytics] into the upper right search-box, the result set does only contain links to the global settings and nothing about the survey specific configuration.

Great that this solved the problem.

If you feel that something is missing in the manual, you can always add it. The manual is a wiki and you should be able to access it with your login from the forum. The project depends on the participation of the community!

Hi Holch,

we need to use GA in every survey that is created by our customers, but when a survey is created the "Google Analytics settings" option by default is none, and some customers forget changing the "Google Analytics settings" option. How can I force the "Google Analytics settings" option to have the value "use global settings" when creating a survey?

I don't see the way in the global setting the LS Administration.

I have no idea.

But I personally would refrain from using GA together with surveys anyway. The privacy and data protection issues are just too complicated for me to open this wasp nest.

I'm having a weird issue, I wanted to post here before doing a bug report.

I'm using the Vanilla base theme, and have set the Google Analytics API key to my UA id

But when I select use global settings in a survey, the output is as follows:

This happens also in the demo site, so I guess it is a bug.

When you choose "Use settings below" instead of "use global settings" it works.

Please report it as a bug. In the meantime the work around would be to set your ID per Survey.
