So the responses are not registred in the database? Is that what you want to say?
And only for this specific question type?

What version of LS?

Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).

2.05+ version. All other questions are recording properly. I have done 6 successful projects but I am still learning and its the first time I have used this type of question in a study. There is no data if I edit the response or use the "get statistics" button.

Any traction on this issue? I have a numbered array with checkboxes that also delivers no data.

This is a 4 and a half year old post about version 2.05.

I don't think it makes much sense to open up such an ancient thread, because I honestly hope that you are NOT running a 2.05, right?

Help us to help you!

lol...
I hope that
1) you would verify that this post was never fixed
and
2) This problem exists at least to Version 3.17.1+190408

Forums are fun! :-D

so... What was the fix for Version 2. I would bet that it would be a fix for version 3.

All the best!

Sorry,

I do not see any problem with this type of array
neither in 3.22. nor in 2.73 nor in 2.06

And it is absolutely not believable that in the meantime (4 years) nobody would have shouted MeToo.

Forums are fun! :-D

Yes, they are. People show, up, say they have exactly the same problem, but it turns out that they have a completely differnt version of the software (2 major releases newer). The problem also occurs in a totally different question type (Array Numbers vs. Array (10 point)).

Forums are certainly fun. ;-)

Like Joffm. This problem was most probably a very specific problem of this user/installation. I don't know if there was a solution, because OP did not answer the questions of Denis, for example.

But let's get to it:

So now we figured out that you seem to use 3.17.1+190408.

I am not aware of such a bug being something general, but of course I am not aware of every single bug that exists in any of the many versions. But I would guess it is either something very specific to a few installations or it is specific to your survey.

According to Joffm's tests it seems not be a general problem of the current version of the 3.x branch either.

Did you test this with a simple survey, with just one question of the type Array Numbers with check boxes to check if it is a general problem with this type of question? Or has it only been tested within a more complex survey, where there could be other factors that cause this?

If so, please create a copy of this survey, delete all questions that are not relevant for the problem, export it and post it here so that we can check and see if the problem also occurs in our installations.

Help us to help you!

I created a video walk-through of an import of LimeSurvey's example question, import, and execution of the questions.

Hopefully, it is an easy fix.

Hi,
why is the topic "no data in 10pt array question"?

And You show us an array(numbers).

Well, I tested again in 3.21.4. with this sample question.

And I got

So no matter if I export as text or only codes the result is as expected.

I have no idea what is wrong in your installation.

@paulwpoteete please start a new topic with an appropriate title and attach a small sample survey (.lss file) as requested by Joffm.

Thank you for your help.

Just in case someone comes to this post in another 4 years or so... I was unable to find a solution. Due to the time-sensitive nature of my research, I was forced to use Google forms.

Maybe when I create another instructional video for LimeSurvey installation, I can paste it here.

Thank you to everyone who attempted to help.

It's always a bad idea to post on a 4 year issue if you have a short tiome frame.

And if you really have a short time frame : some Partner can help quickly …
