================= am testing the new version of LimeSurvey, but it seems to me that it does not handle RANKING-type questions correctly.I created a ranking question followed by a short-text question, with a condition so that the short-text question is displayed only if one of the two choices selected in the ranking (which is limited to two choices) is the “Other (please specify)” option.However, it does not seem to work correctly. The screenshots you sent show exactly how it should work. I tried it again on LimeSurvey Community Edition version 6.16.12 and it works properly.
However, in the new version of LimeSurvey (7.0.12, which we upgraded to yesterday), the question is not working correctly.

So we were wondering whether this is a bug in this version or a different way of handling the filter in ranking question types.

Have you tried testing it on a Lime 7.x version?

That was not a serious question, was it?
Of course I test in 7.0.12. if your issue happens in this version.

But you still didn't explain, what means "the question is not working correctly."

Is the text question not displayed at all?
Is the text question is displayed always?
Is the entry not stored correctly in the database?

It's a bit similar to "The car isn't running. What's the problem?"

A conclusion could be: There is a small issue in your upgraded version.
How do you upgrade? Manually or with Comfort Update?

Thank you for your reply.

To clarify, we are using the hosted version of the software, LimeSurvey Cloud, currently running version 7.0.12.

Over the past few days, we received a system notification stating that the version 7 upgrade was available and scheduled for automatic deployment in November. To test for potential impacts ahead of our upcoming projects next month, we proceeded with the upgrade immediately.

The condition has been created using the Condition Designer and is displayed correctly ((((!is_empty(Q1_1.NAOK) && (Q1_1.NAOK == 7)))))

The issue I am experiencing is that conditions based on a ranking-type question do not appear to be taken into account. More specifically, the subsequent question, “Other (specify),” is not displayed when the relevant option is selected in the ranking question.

The steps I followed to reproduce the issue are:

answer Question 1 and select the “Other” option.
observe that Question 2, “Specify color,” is not displayed.

If I add another condition based on other question types it works as expected. 

I have also tried using a different browser and clearing the browser cache, but the behaviour remains unchanged. By contrast, the same condition works correctly in LimeSurvey version 6.x.

After your suggestion, we verified whether or not the data is being saved. Only data related to the ranking question is not saved, while everything else is.

Please let me know if any further information would be helpful.

According to the latest release notes this should be fixed at the new 7.0.14 version. See also this bug report: bugs.limesurvey.org/view.php?id=20666

Your hosted system should be updated to that new version automatically.
