I figure out what was going on with the images, my path was totally diferent. And Sure Holch, you can write what you think about the approach! In brazilian political science is pretty normal use these kind of definitions with this presidents.

I am not a political scientist, so take this with a grain of salt, but neither is Lula your typical left leaning president, nor is Bolsonaro your typical right leaning president, in my point of view.

The last 2 elections where very much decided by voters that did not want someone, rather than wanting someone as president.

Bolsonaro was elected by a lot of people to not have PT again. And then Lula was elected by a lot of people who did not want to have Bolsonaro again. So someone who voted for Bolsonaro back in the election he won, might not be really right leaning, but running away from PT. And in the other election a lot of people were running away from Bolsonaro, that might not be really left leaning.
