==================
Hello there,
I have just started using LimeSurvey so if my question sounds silly, please forgive me. I just want to know if it is possible on LimeSurvey to write our own questions using HTML and collect the user input as answers. For example,
Code:
 <p><b>Reese</b>: What <b>(1)</b> <select id="input1">
    <option value=" "> </option>
    <option value="a">a</option>
    <option value="about">about</option>
    <option value="am">am</option>
    <option value="are">are</option>
    <option value="at">at</option>
    <option value="do">do</option>
    <option value="how">how</option>
    <option value="is">is</option>
    <option value="it">it</option>
    <option value="its">its</option>
    <option value="it's">it's</option>
    <option value="job">job</option>
    <option value="like">like</option>
    <option value="many">many</option>
    <option value="money">money</option>
    <option value="much">much</option>
    <option value="New York">New York</option>
    <option value="old">old</option>
    <option value="one">one</option>
    <option value="there">there</option>
    <option value="they">they</option>
    <option value="this">this</option>
    <option value="those">those</option>
    <option value="to">to</option>
    <option value="was">was</option>
    <option value="watch">watch</option>
    <option value="what">what</option>
    <option value="when">when</option>
    <option value="where">where</option>
    <option value="why">why</option>
    <option value="work">work</option>
    <option value="would">would</option>
    <option value="your">your</option>
</select> your job?</p>

can I use this code in a Text Display question and record the chosen option as an answer in the responses part using JavaScript? Many thanks in advance.

So, you want something like this

Please, see here
[url] forums.limesurvey.org/index.php/forum/ca...down-box-within-text [/url]

But to be honest: I do not understand your question.
There is only one dropdown, but this gives many senseless phrases, like
"What how your job?"
"What New York your job?"

Please, explain more detailled what you expect the participants to do?

Sorry my bad. It is more like this:
Code:
[code]<p>The warm sun
<select id="input1">
    <option value="am">am</option>
    <option value="is">is</option>
    <option value="are">are</option>
</select>
the only companion in this vast desert, casting long shadows across the endless dunes. The silence
<select id="input1">
    <option value="am">am</option>
    <option value="is">is</option>
    <option value="are">are</option>
</select> only broken by the occasional gust of wind, whispering tales of forgotten civilizations. The vast expanse of sand is the only landscape as far as the eye can see, devoid of any signs of life. Solitude is the only constant, engulfing everything in its embrace. In this desolate terrain, survival instincts
<select id="input1">
    <option value="am">am</option>
    <option value="is">is</option>
    <option value="are">are</option>
</select> the only guiding force, pushing one to endure and persevere. The unrelenting heat is the only reminder of the harsh reality that exists in this barren wilderness.</p>
[/code]

Can I collect the selected option in these dropdown menus as answers on LimeSurvey?
