Please help us help you and fill where relevant:
Your LimeSurvey version: 3.28.10+220510
Own server or LimeSurvey hosting: Own
Survey theme/template: Vanilla
==================I'm wondering if there is a way to have a message stating "You've left this question blank, are you sure you want to continue" when participants don't answer a question, without making the question mandatory?

I require this for all question types.

Is there a global solution?

yes, upgrading to LS 5...

It is the setting "soft" under "Mandatory:

"Makes this question mandatory in your survey. Option "Soft" gives a possibility to skip a question without giving any answer."

Not sure if this was available in LS3 already (and am a little lazy to switch installations right now... ;-) ).

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.
