indicate "other" option is chosen in relevance equation was created by xueting
Hi all,
My version is 3.27.4.
I was wondering is there any method to indicate "other" option for previous single choice is chosen in relevance equation?
In the following picture, if "other:_______" is chosen, respondent will be faced with a specific question. And maybe an option is adding one more option of "other" as A6, the thing is I do not want to add one more question of what does the other mean.
I found there are some topics on it, but they all about multiple choices. If I understand correctly the method seems is putting "other" in the code and "{Q_other}"in the subquetion, then in the relevance equation there is "Q_other.NAOK == "Y"""( forums.limesurvey.org/forum/design-issue...iple-choice-question ). But it seems do not work in single choice.
Thanks for any solutions may provided.
Kind regards,
Xueting

Relevance equation and Array filter are different things.
The content of an other_field of a single choice question can accessed via "Questioncode_other.NAOK".
Array filter is not working with single choice questions alone. Perhaps you can find a solution when looking at this workaround here:

I recommend to provide a small LSS export with your two questions. That way more people can understand the issue and provide help.

It's still unclear to me, what you want to do.I was wondering is there any method to indicate "other" option for previous single choice is chosen in relevance equation?

Thank you jelo for your quick reply!
Sorry for my unclear expression.
I'd like to realize that if other option in the question "household composition" is chosen, then the question of "age" would appear,
and I put "((HouseComposition_other.NAOK == "Y"))" in the relevance equation of question "age", but it doesn't work.
I'm not sure wheter it is for the array filter?
The lss. file is attached.
Many thanks,
Xueting

The LSS-Export has a relevance for every answer?
Use this as relevance. If text is entered in the other field, the second question will be shown.

Thank you jelo! The problem has been solved using the code you provided.
By the way, not for every answer, but for all except A2 and A3.
Have a nice day,
