Posting this because it took me 30 minutes to figure it out.

I had created a folder called /api/ and placed some API.php scripts there.

But when I called the scripts, I kept getting the error:
Failed opening jsonRPCClient

Turns out I needed to copy the jsonRPCClient.php into my /api/ folder... and then everything worked as expected.
