In LS version 3.25.6+201229, when I to the editor to update the email text, in the WYSIYG editor, text looks fine, but then I find that in the resulting email the placeholders aren't parsed.
When I view the template source in LS, I see this:

 

From what I see, Chrome adds this when I click Save.

If I return to source view and delete the extra tags, and save again, it reappears...

Delete the Chorme extenstion that is adding this. No one can help you with this, you will have to find the Chrome extension that adds this.
