Hi, noob here.

I am starting to explore LimeSurvey, and was wondering if it could be a viable solution for the following:


Basically I would be using it as a data entry tool, where a limited number of users can each fill multiple surveys (forms), and can at any point edit or resume any of the surveys they started or submitted.

Is it possible with LimeSurvey? Do I need any additional module or plug-in?

Thanks! I think responseListAndManage would cover it, however I am using version 4.1.11, and I see that there is one required plugin that is not compatible with this version. Do you have any plans on updating it in the near future?

Since question attribute can not be updated by plugins like 3.X : i can not update questionExtraSurvey … then …

no … only when 4.X is ready for plugins.

PS : better to use the 3LTS version if you don't already started your project.

I am trying to set this up but am a little confused as documentation is scarce.

Basically what I need to do is to have some groups of users. Users need to be able to see and edit all surveys that were filled by users of the same group.

Which settings must I choose in LimeSurvey and in the plugin to achieve this?

I assume that in your case "Users" means respondents, and not Limesurvey Backend Users (aka Survey admins)?

For respondents you can only use tokens to identify "users" and respondents can only modify their own surveys with their own token.

I think we can set up groups with Denis' plugin (responseListAndManage), but I am not sure how - here's the part from the readme file, but it left me confused:

"With survey with token table : you can set group and group manager. Then participant can view, add, update response. According to survey settings about anonymous, token answer persistance and allow multiple response."

I recommend you just try the plugin to see if it fits in.

After you can give different rights to simple user or to manager



The group susytem are used by reloadAnyReponse and by some other plugins.
Current project is to separate the plugin from responseListAndManage

I mean :
- tokenUserGroup plugin
- responseListAndmanage plugin use tokenUserGroup plugin

Thanks Denis, I'm slowly getting somewhere.

So I create two new token attributes (one for the region/country, and one to identify which respondents are managers), right?

Then, when creating respondents, I enter the desired region/country code for the region attribute, and... what should I enter for the management attribute?

Also, is there a way to have the response list as the "home" page when someone access the survey?
