I am referring to a problem that was already mentioned some month ago but with no feedback.

I have installed version 3.17.5+190604 of LimeSurvey. I'm trying to change the welcome and close text. I can see the preview under overview and it also appears in the survey, but I cannot edit it under text elements. They don't appear there, the text box is not active so it seams.

I had this problem before, after an update it was gone. Now, after an update it is back again.

Check with a different browser to ensure it isn't a cache issue with your main browser.
Feel free to open a bugticket if you can reproduce the issue.

Checked with another browser, problem still exists.

Reset asset cache in Global settings.
It must be resetted automatically but maybe ?

Resetting the cache did not help. It seems to be a general problem since the update. I cannot see and edit any question text.

F12 to show console on browser
F5 to reload
Search for error (or copy/paste all log inside code block)

Unfortunately I cannot interprete it but it seems files are missing since the update.

Can you activate debug mode and check again ?

I activated JS-Debug-Modus [Backend] and JS-Debug-Modus [Frontend] but this does not change the problem.

No (i didn't know purpose of this 2 settings and unsure it work …)

This disable assets system and we better see the file that broke.

Remind to activate request to see if you have 404 or 403 error .

I did another update to the newest version and the problem disappeared.

I have the same problem with the version 3.17.8+190722 ...

Wich version did you use?
