just switched from older LS version to 2.05.
As a matter of fact, I was using several custom question types, which I've added directly into LS source code. The new version of LS has nice thing called plugins, but the documentation which is provided can't answer my questions and help me to add new question types.So my question is following: is it possible to add custom question types via plugins, and where can I find the information concerning the hooks/events I should extend.

Hi! I am currently having the same issue. The documentation does not help much... did you guys find any source of information of how to create a new type of questions by a plugin?

Currently Limesurvey is missing the required events to create new question types as plugins.

We are working on re-working the underlying code to make question types objects and use inheritance and the like within the code to make it easier maintainable, but there is still a lot of work that needs to be done.

What kind of custom question types are you looking for?
Can you upload screenshots?

Mostly, some JS to adjust the layout and use existing question types does the trick.

Hi! thanks for your response. I am working with the LS remote controll, and basiclly I need that when you add a 'simple line text' with the google maps option, the type displayed in the JSON would be different from 'S'. But with all the logic of a simple line text.

Any ideas?

That's something pretty special that can't be done vie the API but requires hacking the source code.

Well actually, you can forget about the google maps option. It will be fine, if I have a 'Short free line text', but with different Type name. Having two 'Short free line text' but one with different type and description. what do you think?
