I'm trying to update LimeSurvey on a server from 1.87 version to 2.05+.

the issue i'm struggling with right now is that my server is using php 5.2.9

LS 2.05 requires php 5.3 or higher and I get the following message:
"This script can only be run on PHP version 5.3.0 or later! Your version: 5.2.9"

The fact is that i can't afford to update the server php version, due to a lot of applications which would require to be tested on a new php version

my question is quite simple:
would LS 2.05+ correctly run on php v5.2.9?

If yes: I might need help in order to avoid this php check

I tried to see by myself if it's working on php5.2.9, by removing every php checks in the limesurvey files but I keep getting a blank page.

If anyone could help me with that, I would really apreciate it.

ANswer : no.

And : php.net/supported-versions.php

5.3 : A release that is no longer supported. Users of this release should upgrade as soon as possible, as they may be exposed to unpatched security vulnerabilities. .

We surely goes to 5.4 next.
