40 students answered to my questionnaire on limesurvey 1.85 at the same time. Half of them, maybe even more got suddently a message saying that there it was not possible to get connected to the limesurvey data base. Too many connections at the sametime.

Of course, there were probably other people connected to limesurvey at the same time on our server. Is that possible? Did it happend to any one? I did the same survey 10 years ago with limesurvey and it never happend to me....

It depends on your server, its capacity and configurations.

40 students at the same time are not too much, but depending on the server it can be a problem. Especially when it is a shared hosting environment.
