I have a survey for which many participants will be invited to the survey by physical invites, through the mail.
I know Limesurvey can generate urls coupled with tokens (this will be a closed survey using tokens) that make nice invites by email, as it generates a simple link to be clicked. But I'd like for people who are manually typing in the sitename for the survey to be able, instead of typing out a long url, to be able to go to a simple site name and for Lime Survey to invite them to then type in their token.
Can this be done? It's not quite a registration page ... don't see how to accomplish it at the moment.
You can generate tokens, export them and distribute them via every medium (postcard, letter, etc).
If they enter the normal URL
www.domain.tld/index.php/surveyid/
they are asked to enter the token. To shorten the URL further you can use a shorturl service or use redirection techniques which are depending on your host environment.
