Confusing Version information and release notes

The current release information at  community.limesurvey.org/downloads/ is confusing and inconsistent:

You offer downloads to release 7.0.0 AND to release 6.17.5

I downloaded and installed release 6.17.5

But:

1) Why is release 6.17.5 not available at the '
The current releases at a glance' page ????
You can see 6.17.4 and 7.0.0 but not 6.17.5

2) The release notes inform about changes  "from 6.17.4 (build 260520) to 7.0.0 (build 260526) May 26, 2026" but not about the changes from 6.17.4 to 6.17.5

This is totally inconsistent, confusing and unprofessional !!!!!!!

Where can I find information about the road map for version 6 ?

How long will version 6 be updated?

Do you really want to urge people to upgrade from version 6 to the very first release of version 7 ????

Good constructive rant.

I have submitted a bug report, which anyone interested can track here: bugs.limesurvey.org/view.php?id=20547

@upkr68 next time please do the same: fewer forum rants, more bug reports is a good way to help open source community projects 😉

I had a look at the bug report.
Just to be sure, at present, 6.17.6 (260604) is marked unstable but actually it is stable and safe to install, correct?
Thanks

Yes that is also my interpretation of the situation @franz007 – I installed 6.17.6 on a test install and it works just fine!
