Public registration does not work

LimeSurvey version: LimeSurvey Community Edition Verzió 6.15.4+250
Own server or LimeSurvey Cloud: Own
Survey theme/template: fruity
==================Hello All,

At the participant settings I turn ”Allow public registration” ON, but when I run the survey no registration page at all, only the first question appears.No matter how deactivate/reactivate, adding extra attributes or not, registration is not possible. I had no problem using this service in Version 5, but can not get it to work in Version 6. I appreciate any help. PS: I read some forum topics about similar problems months ago. I do not believe it is a bug, since version 6 had been out so long ago.

1. Is this a closed survey?
2. I would always first upgrade to the latest version and test if the error persists.

However, there seems to be a bug, starting actually with After 6.15.5+250724 that seems to cause 403 errors at the end of closed surveys. Not sure if this happens for everyone, but it seems like it. So I would wait with upgrade for this time.

Unfortunately, I never use public registration, so I am not too familiar with this feature.

  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
