Version LS Community edition

Good day
I installed the polling service on Ubuntu 24. Everything works fine. I want to enable HTTPS support, but I can't find how to do it anywhere. I issued a certificate for the server, but I can't find where exactly to register it.

This has nothing to do with Limesurvey, this is purely a server admin and DNS issue, I would say.

The certificate needs to be attributed to the domain / subdomain Limesurvey is running under. That's it.

Under "Configuration" --> "Global Settings" --> "Security" you can then use "Force HTTPS". However, you should only do this if you are sure that https is working for this domain / subdomain. Because if it doesn't, you might lock yourself out of your installation if you have "force https" on and there is no working https connection.

  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
