Hi there people, i dont know if i put the category for this question in the correct place, but i have to ask something that is hapening to me, i configure a survey with this 2 options

 

which means "Enable persistence of responses at the participant level" in Active and "Allow updating responses using access code" in active too, if im not mistake, with that options in active, each participant should have only 1 answer, but in my case, i found that some participants have the completed answer, and another empty answer, i have something more to configure or is this some kind of bug?

You're right

Maybe a bug, but can be a temporary error before you set the setting ? 
To report : you need to update and find the way to reproduce … maybe something specific with your survey or setup.

Itt is weird because i have 2 different installations of Limesurvey on 2 different places on the same hosting and this happens on both installations, the other installation have the version 5.6.49.

I think the error maybe can be related if 2 persons access to the survey at the same time, but i try to reproduce it accesing with 2 navigators at the same time and saving different responses but just saved 1 of them, its hard to reproduce it, any idea how can we figure it out what happens? Any log or similar?

Same startdate ?

Here an example, the last 2 columns mean start date and last action, you can see, 2 seconds later, first an empty response, and then, the "Real" response.

What suppose indicates the seed field? its weird it is so diferent one from another right?

One is 472186061 and another is 1239012184

In theory the response should continue on the first instance, but in this case there was obviously a hickup and a new response session was started.

This shouldn't happen too often. If so, I wouldn't be worried, as long as they could not respond twice, I don't see any issue. In this case the respondent also did nothing, there should be no answered to questions being stored, correct?

I wouldn't worry too much about this. It happens, but it happens very rarely and so far I never had a real issue with it (e.g. 2 complete responses where there should only be one).

Do yo have cases where the respondents in the first time the token appears have actually answered questions?

I dont know, for now i update Limesurvey to its latest version, which seems to increase the performance and i be supervising continuously to see if this still happens.

Is the best thing i can do if i cant force the errror i think.

I ropen this thread if i can if this happen again.
