We just found out today that our GDPR check box is not mandatory. Users can simply ignore it, while in the description of the configuration page it says 'mandatory checkbox'. I can't find a way to configure this differently, what am I missing? See the attachment for the configuration.

My version is  Version 5.6.38+230919

It works as expected in version 5.6.60. I suggest updating to the latest version and retesting.

 

Thanks Tony. Do you know if this was a known issue? Its quite a bit of work to upgrade my live site, as I need to first create a demo site and test quite a few things.

Also, I would check the console (F12) for JavaScript errors.

You can update the theme to set it mandatory or not.
