==================
Hello everyone,

I have created a survey (which is NOT yet active) where the base language is set to German (informal). Now I should change the base language to German (the formal one).

In older posts it was pointed out that this is not possible. But is there perhaps a way to change the base language now?

Thank you!

Try this...

1) Export the survey as a .lss file.

2) Open that file in a plain-text editor like Notepad++.

3) Search and replace all instances of de-informal with de.

4) Import the .lss file.

Cheers,

When you update to version 5 or 6, this will be much easier.

Update from version 3 to a higher version is a good idea.

Thanks a lot!

How do I save my file correctly in Notepad++ so that I can upload it back to limesurvey?
I can't find the option to save it as an .lss file.

That's a question for a Notepad++ forum but if you open it as a .lss file, you should be able to save: File --> Save.

And if not, you can probably save it as a .txt and then rename it to .lss
