I just started using LimeSurvey and noticed something strange. Whenever, I create a new question group for my survey and add a question, question text disappears from my first group (and only first group). I find myself having to go back and re-add the question text. So far, it only happens to the first group, and it's one-for-one -- one question is added, question text for one question disappears. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I just test : seems OK BUT :

Can you explain step by step what you do ? How do you create a Question Group, How do you add a question after ?

When i mean step by step : is : what button do you click, what action you do each action.

Else: monolingual or multilingual
Else : did you try on a totally new survey

etc …

I click on Add Question on the left, under Structure. Add the question text and type. Make sure the question is in the correct group. Click Save. And like clockwork, question text in my first group has disappeared.

I'll try a new survey to see if it happens with that one, too.

EDIT: I discovered a pattern. It's not random. If there are six question groups, the text for the fifth question gets erased when I add a question. If I add a new group, the text for the sixth question disappears.

Same issue here! Question text keeps disappearing. I could not yet conclude which pattern it follows.

Incredibly frustrating to have to retype multiple questions again and again!

What is your admin language ?
And what is the language of the survey ?
Did you try with text editor in popup ?

There are surely a bug report todo , but better to find the pattern before.

I did not try the popup.

I am no longer able to reproduce the bug. I was getting it constantly this morning in a survey with 4 groups, each with about 3 questions.

I'll report back once I find a way to reproduce it again.

I'm having the same problem with one of my surveys in LS6.

Did anyone figure out what might be causing this?

It's still happening, and I just discovered my question text disappeared on a survey that was running. Not great.

Did anyone of you report this as a bug?

Question text constantly disappears. I feel like this happens whenever I start changing or adding other questions. Did anyone find a way to avoid this, because its a big waste of time to retype all these questions  

It is hard for us to say anything, as we don't have the issue and we can't really reproduce.

Has anyone of those that experience the issue created a bug report by now?

And to better understand what is going on it is always important to inform your version of Limesurvey, where and how you host it, etc.

But without a bug report no bug fix.
