New Update Available Banner 5.6.X to 6.2.5

New Update Available Banner 5.6.X to 6.2.5 was created by mhladun
At the time of writing this, I currently have the latest version of LS installed, 5.6.36, but I am receiving a banner saying a new update is available for 6.2.5. Should the "Update Available" be present in this case? Is this done to encourage users to switch from LS 5 to LS 6?

I think it makes sense to present this information to you, so that you know that you can now upgrade from LS5 to LS6 via Comfort Update, which was not possible a couple of weeks ago.

So it make sense.

However, you do not need to upgrade to LS6 for now. LS5 is still a supported branch of Limesurvey. It is just a notification to let you know that you CAN upgrade, you don't have to.

  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
