No, after two releases that simply made it impossible to use our installation I gave up...PostgreSQL should be removed from Limesurvey support.

I have the last version working with PGSQL.
Assistance on LimeSurvey forum and LimeSurvey core development are on my free time.

I tried again, the last version, I'm asked for the database upgrade, and:
An non-recoverable error happened during the update. Error details:
CDbCommand failed to execute the SQL statement: SQLSTATE[42804]: Datatype mismatch: 7 ERROR: column "user_status" cannot be cast automatically to type integer HINT: You might need to specify "USING user_status::integer".

Hi mferraz,

isn't that a different error as the one in this thread, as this one happens not during installation but when trying to create a multiple choice question?

did you try a completely fresh install or trying to "update/upgrade" your existing install? Because there could be a difference in behavior. Your existing database might be "messed up".

If I would have something to say at Limesurvey, I would probably provide any other database than MySQL as "experimental". But I don't have any say at LS. :-)
Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).

I was trying to upgrade from the existing installation, and yeah, there is probably an issue with the current database.

And yeah, I'm with you on that stance about any other database than MySQL/MariaDB.

I can confirm, that with version 6.4.6 the bug has gone in our installation.
