Hello everybody,

I can not find any official information if LimeSurvey version 5.x supports PHP 8.1 or 8.2
Does anyone have information for me on that topic?
Thank you

8.1 and 8.2 are not supported, yet.

The maximum PHP version currently supported by LimeSurvey 5 is 8.0.x.

Hi Carsten,
thank you for your quick response.
Is there some kind of roadmap?

Thank you for the link. But I knew that already.

I was asking about php 8.1 and/or php 8.2 support.
Are there any plans or dates?

php 8.0 support is over and security support for php 8.0 runs until 11/23 as far as I know.

I was asking about php 8.1 and/or php 8.2 support.

I know. But i would expect that any official plan would be placed on that page first.
That would save a lot of time for everybody.

PHP 8.0 will be receive security updates till 26th Nov. 2023.
After that LimeSurvey 3 and LimeSurvey 5 will no longer be compatible with any PHP version in active development.
So I would expect LimeSurvey 5 to support PHP 8.1 in autumn.
After that we will se the thing as with PHP 7.4. A few Linux distributions will try to backport security fixes.
