Vamos actualizar la versión de LimeSurvey de 3 a 5. Me gustaría que me informarais sobre las incidencias que habéis tenido.

Se que hay algunos problemas con los plugin y también he escuchado que ha habido algún problema con las preguntas.  ¿ Me podéis ayudar ?

First of all, all past experience might not help you, because many of the issues that someone might have experienced during an upgrade from LS3 to LS5 have probably already been fixed in newer versions. That doesn't mean that there can't be any issues, but experiences from 3 months or even a year ago might not help you at this point.

The best way to go about it, if you are concerned about the upgrade is setting up a test installation (a copy of your LS3 - copy the database content to a new database and the files to a new folder) and then do the upgrade. And then do thorough testing if everything works as expected.

The main issues from LS3 to LS5 will be that some plugins don't work. Sometimes it is because they really don't work with LS3 and need to be adapted and sometimes it is just that the config.xml is missing and now for LS5 it is obligatory. So sometimes you can solve the issue by just changing the compatibility in the config.xml file to include LS5 or create a new config.xml file for it and see if it works.

And then there are themes, modifications to themes and workarounds from LS3 that might not work in LS5. So if you have heavily customized themes or make extensive use of plugins/extensions chances are higher that not everything works out of the box. If you don't, then chances are very good that you won't run into trouble.
