Hi,
I had Limesurvey installed on a VM with internet connection and it was working fine.
Then I exported the VM and moved it to our local VM server witch it does not have internet.
I realized that when I move from page to page the loading is very slow that it might takes 15 sec of waiting. 
I just moved the VM from internet to local so I am not sure what is the issue. Is there any files that are internet dependent that might cause this? Please let me know.

In the past, when Limesurvey was loading slow without internet connection, this was usually to the check for updates through "comfort update". However, this issue should not appear once logged in, but only at the beginning when login in, as Limesurvey tried to contact the Comfort Update server.

As far as I know, this issue should be solved in LS 5 though, and your issue arises when navigating from page to page (I assume you are not talking about a survey, but about the LS Admin Backend?).

No, I am not suggesting to update if you are already on LS 5.x.

I was just mentioning that there once have been problems with loading Limesurvey, but in older versions and during the login process. So I don't think it is the same issue here. But who knows. Any chance to get this new VM connected to the internet for a test? Just to see if it really has just to do with the internet connection or if there must be something else happening?

I did the installation twice to test. First time, I created VM from scratch on local and installed Limesurvey then transferred my surveys that I created before and this when I realized the slow loading. Second time, I moved the exact VM that was working fine on internet to local, but the same issue was occurring.

You will have to debug on your own. If you have a VM without any internetconnection, many things can cause a lag in many parts of a VM. You have to narrow down the sources of slowdown.
Are you only experience the slowdown when filling out a survey? What is the behaviour when creating and editing a survey?
If it's only when filling a survey, try to create a simple survey from scratch and try the different themes.
Debug with different browsers.
 

Thank you for replying, I have already tried different debug methods but no result. The issue only arises when I navigate from page to page in admin backend. For surveys its working fine with normal loading.

Login in the backend is slow too?
Since you have no internet connection for the VM, I would try to deactivate the ComfortUpdateChecker and UpdateCheck plugin.
You find these two plugins in the Plugin-Menu in Settings.

 

Thank you very much!! These updates plugins were causing the issue now its working fine after deactivating them. Thank you once again

Wouldn't it be a good idea to do those checks only directly after login? Or only after checking if there is an internet connection?
