Can't access admin login screen

Please help us help you and fill where relevant:
Your LimeSurvey version: 3.28.18
Own server or LimeSurvey hosting: own server
Survey theme/template: fruity

Pls help me. 
why i can't access administrator login page with "admin" after subdomain address? it always take me to the front page. i have to use "index.php?r=admin/authentication/sa/login" instead of "admin" for it to work.

This has probably to do with your server that doesn't allow to rewrite the URL. What server are you using? OS? Webserver software?

  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).

i'm using linux shared hosting. Webserver software is apache

Shared hosting is always tricky.

Does the server allow mod_rewrite?

i deleted .htaccess file in the sub domain parent directory and now it worked.
