Hi,
I built a MCQ in assessment mode on LS and used the placeholder =small{TOTAL} as an assessment rule to show, on the last page of the survey, the total score of the participant (depending on whether they gave the right answers). I need to know every participant's score and therefore asked them to write it down and send it to me but some of them forgot. Is there any way to recover the score afterwards? It does not appear when I export answers.
Attached: an example of the message showing at the end of the survey (but then never again).
Can anyone help?
Have a nice day,
Alice

Hi, Alice,

Is there any way to recover the score afterwards?

Of course, you know how it is calculated. So you can recalculate.

To be honest.
These assessment scores are not stored in the database, except of "current_total".
In my opinion this option is a bit outdated.
Nowadays we use Expression Manager to calculate scores (much more flexible, easier, mightier).
In the manual

you see this remark:

Hint: You can create more sophisticated assessments and reports using the  ExpressionScript . It lets you access all variable types and easily generate tailored reports at any point in the survey (not only at the end). Using the new Equation question type, LimeSurvey can automatically save your assessment calculations and/or report to the database.

Now, coming back to my first phrase. To do it by yourself is the only way.
But this should be rather easy in a spreadsheet like Excel or OpenOffice, or...

Thank you Joffm. I'll try EM next time (I'm very new at all this!). Also, a work collegue suggested I add a last question with the plceholder TOTAL at the end so that the score is saved together with all the other questions. Do you thin that could work?
