I installed on my server (apache + PHP) and when I try to login, getting index.php takes 4.2 mins and other panel options take at least 2 mins. what can be the problem here?

Difficult to say, because we do not know your server environment. Is this on shared hosting? Sometimes shared hosters can be slow.

In any way, >4 mins is even too long for a relatively bad shared hoster. I never had those times on any platform.

Some years ago, when this happened, it was usually because Limesurvey had no access to the internet and Comfort Update had trouble to connect to the update server to check for updates. However, afaik this problem was solved a while ago, I think.

In any way: Can Limesurvey access the internet or is it blocked from the outside world? Is it behind a proxy? What kind of server environment is used?

Because even on a slow server it should just take a couple of seconds at the max to open.

I disabled Comfort Update and it runs perfect.

Seems prevoious fix was disable : happen 1 or 2 times :OK, but not agaoin and again.
