1. Comfort Update: This is a service provided by Limesurvey GmbH who is the main developer of Limesurvey and you will have to pay a fee for this. This is probably the easiest and most "comfortable" way to update and upgrade Limesurvey installations (I am not affiliated with the service or the Limesurvey GmbH). The fee also helps to guarantee further development of Limesurvey. The ease of it also makes it easy to keep your installation up to date as it takes you not more than 5 minutes.
2. Manual update: While not as comfortable as clicking through the Comfort Update, you can continue to update/upgrade your installation manually as it was done for years before Comfort Update existed.

Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
