LimeSurvey version: 2.52
Hi,
I need to add to a running survey the general option of "Show "No answer"". The problem is that by default this option is checked.
Is there way to set it so it will not be checked by default?

Thanks

Firstly: version 2.52 is very old, please update, because you may run into security issues.

The "Show no answer" option is set for non-mandatory questions, you can change this setting at the global settings. I do not have 2.52 running, but in the global settings you should be able to find it (if you have the permission to change it).

Thanks but I know how to add/remove this option.
The issue is that when activating this option as a default it shown to the respondent as checked (see attached screenshot for clarification)
I need that answers options will be empty

Isn't it true that the user has given no answer?

But if you really want to get rid of the prefill, please turn of the option in the global settings and add "No answer" as an answer option.

Thanks... the already filled up option is problematic.
Also I've preferred this one opposed to add it manually as it set the values to null (and no need to add for each table this option manually) . But if there is no other way :)

All the best

BTW, is there an option to set value of an answer to NULL?
Currently we use '0' for the option of "not relevant" but it quite cumbersome our data analysis...
