Your LimeSurvey version: LimeSurvey Community Edition; Version 3.27.27+211130
Own server or LimeSurvey hosting: Own Server
Theme: Custom one
==================

Hey y'all,

I have a problem with uploading files to a survey but only in Chrome on a Windows PC. It works with Firefox on Windows. And it works with both Chrome and Firefox on MacOS Catalina.
I open a survey and select the section "Resources". The page loads but the iframe, where I should be able to upload files does not load. The Javascript console does not output any error either.

Anyone here with the same problem? Otherwise I guess it's some browser settings thing.
Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards
Nick

Did you try with incognito mode in Chrome? My guess would be some kind of addon that is causing this problem.

Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).

Hi,
Upload system use an old library where Browser security are lesser.

Currently seems cookies settings are broken, maybe must be updated to work on Chrome too

Firefox show there are issue :

Can you report the issue : community.limesurvey.org/bug-tracker/ ?
Maybe you can test on your limesurvey Cloud system too ?

Had this as well.
In my case, explicitly allowing JavaScript and popups for the limesurvey site under chrome://settings/content solved it.
