We would like to translate a survey in Tetum but when we configure our instance to display this language based on the English .mo file we get the error "Unrecognized locale "tet"".
Tetum is part of
IANA Language Subtag Registry
as describe on the
Translating LimeSurvey
page but it seems that the problem is somewhere else.
I think you need to include tetum first as a new language, as it doesn't exist in Limesurvey. As one can even create "fantasy" languages or their own version of an existing language, I don't think it is relevant that Tetum is part of IANA...
Thank you for your answer @holch but yes we have followed all the steps describes in the manual.
We have done that for another language in the past and it was working well.
For information, we have found a workaround to this problem.
The file tet.php doesn’t exist under /framework/i18n/data which was creating this error.
When I duplicate tl.php (which is Timor Leste file) and rename in tet.php then there is not error anymore.
I guess this impacts only the interface of LimeSurvey if Tetum is used as profile language.
