Hello community,

we're getting this error
"500: Interner Serverfehler Call to a member function getAttributes() on null"
when we're trying to open answers directly from an e-mail link (mail sent on new answer in survey).
Maby this is related to bug ID 15528, but the answer is complete, not partial.
Link in the mail is like
"example.org/limesurvey/index.php/responses/view?surveyId=123456&id=1010"
After the login page the error is presented.
If I log in in another tab of the browser and open the survey from the survey list, I can reload the page and the answer is shown.
Even with only logging in to the survey list, the error is shown, only after opening the survey, the answer is shown correctly.
Is this a bug?
How can I prevent this?

It is not your first time on the forum, I have seen your face before. So: What is your Limesurvey Version? Especially for errors like this it is extremely important to know which version of limesurvey you are running, for anyone to be able to reproduce or anything.

Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
Note: I answer at this forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.

You're absolutely right. We're using always the newest version before reporting a bug, because sometimes the update will fix the problems.

We're using always the newest version before reporting a bug

That is the best approach. But while we remember some of the posters here, we do not remember their versions and their way of updating.

And there is another good reason for always posting the version: The newest version today might be an old one tomorrow. ;-)

But as you have seen, Denis seems to have reported this bug a couple of days ago already.

So it would be probably a good idea if you comment on the bug report, that you also encounter this issue, I think it helps to show a certain urgency for the developers if there are more people adding to the issue.
