Has anyone tried to execute a ComfortUpdate lately? was created by torilee93
Hi everyone
I'm on limesurvey Version 3.27.17+210911 and just tried to execute a comfortupdate. It allows me to choose the update for 3.27.24 but after I click that I get a message that says "No Server Answer! We couldn't reach the server or the server didn't provide any answer. Please try again in few minutes"
Is anyone else having this issue?

The meaning of the word "stable" for users

That is not uncommon. In the last 24h all LS3 version/builds got access to the new LS5 version via ComfortUpdate. Before only a subset of LS3 installations where give an update offer to LS5. So I would expect the have a peak load in updates over the next days.

Since you have paid, you can complain to LimeSurvey support.

Yes, I've complained to support. They just told me to wait and try again.
I tried again today and it was the same result

We cannot help from here - we are volunteers, not LimeSurvey GmbH.

I've run Comfort Update twice in the last couple of days (once for my LS 3.x installation and once for my LS 5.x installation) and it went smooth both times. I might be in a different time zone though, so when I run my updates I might not in the peak hours for Europe, for example.
And I just updated to LS 5.2.2-211115 right now and it went without any problems, super quick.
So while this doesn't mean the problem is on your side, you might want to check if there are any firewall settings or proxies that could cause this problem on your side.
As Jelo says, it happens sometimes that the servers are not accessible, because there is a high demand or because there is a problem with them. But I haven't experienced any of this lately.
So if this continues for you, you might want to check the network of your server.
