Good Morning,

We have been using the platform for several years and today we have reported a problem that we do not know how to solve.

First of all, the version we currently have is 3.25.7 + 210113.

During this day, several emails have been sent from the platform (invitations) with success (or so lol indicated LimeSurvey). Several users have told us that they had not received the information, and by doing tests we have been able to verify that indeed, despite the fact that the platform indicates that it has sent the invitations successfully, the users do not receive the email.

The email that we use to send is a gmail, and by entering the inbox we have been able to verify that the emails are sent from the account, but strangely the end user does not have the email in their inbox. We have tried with other emails from our organization and some have the same problem although there are some in which the problem has not occurred.

We ruled out a problem on the platform since it has been possible to verify that with another email if it works, and after checking the account settings and seeing that they are all the same, we have no idea what the reason for a correctly configured gmail account may be That until today had not given any problem at once, it does not work but the most worrying thing is that the platform gives the mail as sent OK, in the sent box of the account configured with the file the sent mail exists but the end user does not receive the mail.

Any idea what the problem could be?

Thank you.

Greetings.

It seems that somehow google has been able to block the account momentarily for shipments from external applications (more than x shipments or some type of filter) since without doing anything else the emails have begun to arrive, although with many hours of delay.

In general Gmail is not a good service to send mass mails. The have quite a few limits in terms of emails per minute/hour/day, etc. that you can send.

Usually, email invitations require sending a lot of emails in a relatively short amount of time, which of course isn't too different to what spamming would look like.

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.
