Hello Denis,
ok, i install Lime with MySQL 8 and have this message : "ou need parameters innodb_file_format and innodb_file_format for using InnoDB with LimeSurvey.
Very funny ... because MySQL says :
Important Change; InnoDB: The following InnoDB file format configuration options were deprecated in MySQL 5.7.7 and are now removed:
innodb_file_format
innodb_file_format_check
innodb_file_format_max
innodb_large_prefix

so ... what i can do ? (please doens't answer "use MyISAM..." )

Thank you
Best Regards
Thierry

1. Report the issue community.limesurvey.org/bug-tracker/
2. Try to return true here : github.com/LimeSurvey/LimeSurvey/blob/68...rConfigForm.php#L402 (or check how to do with MYSQL8)

Else : why not use MariaDB ?
