Is version 5.x production ready? was created by segui
Hello,
Since LS 4.x was considered not stable enough for production systems, we have kept our instance with LTS 3.x.
Would you say 5.x is production ready, or should I stay with 3.x for now? I couldn't find info about this in the community site.
Thank you!

My personal opinion : you can start to use and test 5.X on production. need some testing if you have some specific usage, but in general it work.
Do not update if you use a lot of plugins.

Thank you @DenisChenu!
Is the 3.x -> 5.x upgrade path possible, or do I have to go to 4.x first?

Some question themes need to be modified for 5.x. The config.xml file is slightly different and some question types use different loops in the answer twig files.

Thank you all. I was able to make a test upgrade from version 3.27.11 to 5.1.5 with no apparent issues. I will be testing as much as possible functionality-wise, but so far so good. All the plugins we are using are core, including AuthLDAP, and it looks like they are all working.
