I was updating Moodle from Softaculous on cPanel and I was asked to raise the PHP version to 7.3.27 and switch on PHP extensions sodium and mysqli (had no such thing, switched on nd_mysqli and it worked).
After the update my LimeSurvey 4.3.15+200907 gives me the following error:
Internal Server Error
CDbConnection failed to open the DB connection.
An internal error occurred while the Web server was processing your request. Please contact the webmaster to report this problem.
I have no idea what to do. Not a tech person. Appreciate any help.

I "solved" the problem by raising the PHP version to 7.4.(16).
Still don't understand what happened and how to deal with such cases.
Maybe the Manual needs an update on this topic.
