Hello,

I am a newbie to Limesurvey.  I just completed a new installation of 3.25.7 and when attempting to access the admin page I get the message "404: Not Found Unable to resolve the request "error.php"." We are on a Centos7 server.  If there is more info that I can provide just let me know.  I appreciate any assistance.

No, it's false. Review your server config here.

There is no LS installation under this URL.

Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).

Well, then it doesn't make much sense to post the URL, because we can't access it anyway.

What happens when you go to survey-test.udmercy.edu/admin ?

Then you get this error message?

Have you checked if the resources are all there? Sometimes, when uploading via FTP not all files get transmitted.

But, it is difficult to say without seeing anything. This is clearly a server issue and only someone with access to the server will be able to solve this. All our attempts as "outsiders" will be wild guessing. ;-)

Yes when I try to login into the admin account, that's when I get the 404 error page. I will work with my teammates to make the site public. I really appreciate your help. I will update this string once the changes have been made.

Do you use a plain CentOS7 server? Check if SELinux is activated. If that is the case, try to deactivate SELinux and check again with LimeSurvey. If that will solve the issue, the protection layer of SELinux might need a reconfiguration.

There are other reasons for such issues. Investigating logfiles for errors is recommended.

Thank you! I have resolved my connectivity concerns and am well on my way to setup the new server. I s there a way to batch import the surveys from my older server. I currently have 1385 surveys and can only find a way to import them one at a time.

There is no batch import.

But you could copy the database from the other installation and install over it (as long as it is no LS 4.x database).
