Hi! I'm Alessandra Zanella and I'm using Limesurvey for my degree. I
made Limesurvey a webserver via Xampp and at first I had no problem.
Then Xampp went into a bug and so I had to uninstall everything and
install again. So now, when I do the configuration of Limesurvey and I
am told that the database does not exist, so I create it and then it
tells me that I need to populate it with tables. I tell it to populate
and it automatically makes me return to the previous page (the one
where I have to enter username, password, database position, etc.)
telling me that "There is no active transaction". If I fill in all
empty fields again, I am asked to populate the database with the
tables and at that point I get in error "SQLSTATE[42S01]: Base table
or view already exists: 1050 Table 'lime_answers' already exists". I
haven't be able to find a solutions for days, what should I do? Thanks

for me this worked: the current XAMPP has a bug which sometimes corrupts the database.

For me the solution was:
1. work online on a server like LimeSurvey offers OR
2. install an older version of XAMPP, like version 7.3.5

Okay, I tryed it now myself and it worked for me. So just use a older version of XAMPP.
