Hi

I'm trying to install the latest stable version of LimeSurvey, but the installer refuses to pass the requirement check. It complaints about the session.save_path. I checked the designated folder and fount that it's fully writable (777 permission), and tried to touch some files without a problem

My server is a linux VPS running Apache

What can I do to solve that?

Thanks @DenisChenu

I tried turining off open_basedir completely, yet the same errror persists. I'm not sure what specifically to look at in the second link

Your (and everyone's) advice is appreciated

Check you apache error log : i think you have more detail.

For selinux : check if it's activated (via command line) : $ `sestatus`
Dsiable : # `setenforce 0` as root.
