Hi all,
we have Version 3.21.1+191210 installed and the problem is the following:

When Igo to a survey and click on responses (admin mode) to list them, the server just hangs. This is not for every survey. The ones that are small and have few responses work just super. There are 2 that I am particularly interested in, they each have 800/600 fields and 3k+/1k responses.

Any tips as to which server settings/parameters in which files might need to be adjusted are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Without knowing the setup and server environment any recommendation would be an uneducated guess. So where is LimeSurvey running? Webhosting package? From your description the database query performance seems to be low when coping with bigger database tables.

Sadly, I am not the admin, and our admin is currently away. We have our own installation and it is running on a Windows Server, well the Apache part is. The DB is running on a different machine. What info. would you need to further diagnose, I can then ask the other admins to at least look this up.

Your admins will have to find the bottleneck.

First uneducated guess:
a) the database server
b) the connection between the webserver and the databaseserver

The Databaseserver is using what engine and OS? MySQL/PostGreSQL,SQLServer? Linux/Windows?
And might be not only used for LimeSurvey?

I first would try to check if the delay is changing when check on different times and days.
If that is the case, the server load / bandwidth might be the bottleneck.

This would have been my first suspect as well.

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.
